Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM Holds Technology-based Training to Improve the Competence of its Academic Supporting Staff

News Monday, 30 December 2024

In order to improve the abilities of educational staff, FVM UGM held several soft skills training for its educational staff. This training was held on the 23th and 24th December 2024 with Endah Choiriyah, S. IP., M. Si as the speaker. This activity aims to ensure that the educational staff have digital skills related to their daily activities using the internet to support their work. The training consists of making flyers using CANVA, making simple videos using Vivavideo, making Twibbon, and so on. This activity was attended by almost all FVM UGM educational staff. Apart from that, it was also attended by educational staff in all faculties at UGM and outside UGM. This training was carried out in a hybrid manner, both online via zoom and offline, held at the FVM UGM ICT Laboratory (SDGs 4: Quality Education).

Apart from that, during the training, the participants also took part in the Kahoot game to refresh the participants’ concentration so that they did not get sleepy while getting the material. One of the participants, Ika Fitri Puspitasari, said that this training was useful for making daily work easier. The material is easy to understand and put into practice to complete the work. One of the materials, namely creating and distributing certificates via Autocart, is very useful for making work more efficient. Another participant, Kartika Wulansari, also stated that this training provided new insights that were very useful. Especially in making certificates and managing documents using the internet, it is very helpful in supporting our performance as employees. This is also supported by interactive presenters both in providing material online and offline so that interactive two-way communication can be established. “I hope that training activities like this can continue to be held so that our performance as employees can be effective,” she said (SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).Lihat   Selengkapnya
