On May 31, 2025, The Student Press and Publishing Body (BPPM) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM organized a Theatrical Study entitled “Thriller Night”. This year’s performance was led by Salsabila Khairunnisa as the production leader and directed by Alfarizqy Bayu Romadhoni, who is a young member of BPPM FVM UGM. This performance was played by Novita Khusna Zahra, Syifa Athirah Yushend, Muhammad Raqxel Alkadrie, and Khalisa Ibtihaj Risnaputri.
This activity was held in the front field of the V4 building of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM and open to all students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM, alumni of BPPM, general public, as well as theater art lovers both from UGM and outside UGM. The purpose of this activity is to increase appreciation for theater arts, performing the results of BPPM training in theater, provide understanding and learning for Vena Teaterika members regarding the production process of performances and increase the existence of Vena Teaterika in producing works. The expected benefits are that the audience can be more familiar and appreciate theater art, young members can practice the results of BPPM training in the field of theater, add insight, gain experience in stage production management, and Vena Teaterika can increase its existence in producing works that can be enjoyed by the audience.
Although it took place in the middle of rainy condition, this Theatrical Study received high enthusiasm, as evidenced by the large number of audience both from FVM UGM students and from outside UGM. After the performance, the audience was also allowed to take photos together and give appreciation to the committee and actors.
This theatrical study is in line with the values of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely SDGs 4 quality education, SDGs 3 good health and well-being and SDGs 10 Reduced Inequality.
