This event took place at Elasi Coffee and was attended by new members of BPPM FVM UGM.
The Journalism Workshop was held as a means to enhance the knowledge and skills of new members in the field of journalism. The workshop featured several competent speakers who delivered material covering the basics of journalism, including editorial work, interview ethics, article writing, layout design, photography, and illustration. In addition, the young members were given opportunities to apply what they had learned through interactive practice sessions and various assignments.
As participants of the Journalism Workshop, the young members showed high enthusiasm throughout the event. They eagerly attended every session and actively engaged in discussions, practical exercises, and assignments given. This enthusiasm reflects their strong interest in journalism and their desire for self-development. The speakers were able to deliver their material effectively, making it easy for the workshop participants to understand. Furthermore, active members of BPPM FVM UGM, who served as the workshop committee, played a significant role in the success of the event.
The Theater Workshop indirectly contributed to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:
- SDG 4 (Quality Education): The workshop provided new BPPM FVM UGM members with opportunities to develop non-academic skills in the field of press and journalism, which is an important aspect of quality education.
- SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities): Through this activity, BPPM FVM UGM provided equal opportunities for all new members to develop their potential, regardless of their background or previous experience.
- SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): This activity is a real manifestation of partnerships between student organizations and the academic community of FVM UGM, as well as between BPPM FVM UGM and external parties as speakers, in supporting the development of student potential.
In the future, BPPM FVM UGM is committed to continuously organizing activities that benefit the development of student potential as well as the wider community, both in journalism and theater. (Fara)
