On Saturday, May 25th 2024, Language Training #2 was held by Language Development Department Veterinary Science Community (VSC) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM. It was carried out offline in Room 101 where the participants received a presentation about Japanese language and followed by some fun games. Language Training itself is an annual work program with the aim of developing insight into the language and culture. It is created as an effort to provide sustainable education as the nature of learning language is a kind of last entire lifetime skill. In this occasion, Language Training 2 discussed Japanese language with the speaker Ulin Nuha Syahnarendra as the 1st winner of Happyou Taikai, an esteemed competition.
The speaker’s presentation of linguistic material generally includes Hiragana letters, daily vocabulary in Japanese, as well as tips and tricks for learning Japanese. This material aims to develop participants’ insight into Japanese language so that it can deepen participants’ language skills. Fun games are held with quick and accurate quizzes for participants using words and sentences in the form of Hiragana letters which can hone and train participants’ abilities in interpreting Hiragana letters.
It is hoped that holding 2nd Language Training will provide insight into new languages, linguistic skills and cultures; train each participant’s language skills; encourage participants’ confidence in using the language being studied; and become a medium for sharing language between participants.
