On March 19 -23, 2025, the Veterinary Muslim Student Family (KMMV) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM held Ramadan in the Faculty (RDF) event. This activity was held offline at the An-Nahl mosque of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. This event was held to spur passion, enthusiasm, and greater effort in carrying out worship in the holy month of Ramadan. In addition, participants are also expected to glorify the month of Ramadan despite having busy lectures, practicums, or others activities.
This year’s Ramadan activity carries the theme “Strengthening Companionship in Veterinary Campus”. Ramadan in the faculty of 2025 consists of a series of activities including learning tahsin, breaking the fast together, praying Maghrib, Isha, and Tarawih together. These activities were attended by approximately 50 participants each day, which mainly consisted of Muslim students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM as well as various groups who participated in enlivening the event.
For tahsin and homily speech, the committee invite speakers who deliver the material about the Virtues of Ramadan at the An-Nahl Mosque, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM. After the tahsin learning activity, it was followed by a breakfasting together, then continued with Maghrib, Isha’ and Tarawih prayers in congregation.
To conclude the series of Ramadan activities in Faculty 2025, a group photo was taken with the committee of Ramadan activities in Faculty (RDF) 2025 FKH UGM. This event aligns with several SDGs values, in which the participants and committee gain new knowledge about Ramadan’s virtues (SDG 4 Quality Education), strengthening network with Islamic figures and creating better companionship among Muslim students (SDG 17 Partnership for the Goals), and create peace, justice and strong institutions (SDG 16).
