Signing of Cooperation Agreement between FKH UGM and BBPTU HPT Baturraden

Yogyakarta, February 7th, 2024 The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH), UGM, together with the Baturraden Centre for Superior Livestock Breeding for Forages/Balai Besar Pembibitan Ternak Unggul Hijauan Pakan Ternak Baturraden (BBPTU HPT Baturraden), re-signed the Cooperation Agreement (PKS). This is done to strengthen collaboration in supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through improving quality education, land ecosystems, introducing industry, innovation, and infrastructure, as well as strengthening partnerships to achieve the goals.

The PKS signing ceremony was held in Meeting Room 1 FKH UGM, attended by the Dean; Deputy Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni; Head of Undergraduate Study Program; Head and Secretary of Profession Study Program; as well as the Head of Master Study Program of FKH UGM; and also representatives from BBPTU HPT Baturraden.

In his speech, the Dean of FKH UGM, Prof. drh. Teguh Budipitojo, M.P., Ph.D., expressed his gratitude for the extension of cooperation between FKH UGM and BBPTU HPT Baturraden so that FKH UGM students still have the opportunity to practice and develop their knowledge at BBPTU HPT Baturraden. “This collaboration is also a forum for lecturers to carry out various tridharma activities,” explained Teguh.

BBPTU HPT Baturraden, which is a dairy cattle breeding center under the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health and is engaged in the field of breeding, maintenance, production, and marketing of dairy cattle breeds, welcomes this initiative as a step towards sustainable cooperation. “The re-signing of this PKS is a formal legal form for the future so that this cooperation can be sustainable again, and I hope that in the future BBPTU HPT Baturraden can provide more benefits,” said the Head of BBPTU HPT Baturraden, drh. Sintong HMT Hutasoit, M.Sc.

This collaboration includes cooperation in education, research, and community service in the field of dairy ruminants. The event closed with the signing of the PKS by the Dean of FKH UGM and the Head of BBPTU HPT Baturraden and ended with a group photo.
